I wanted to let you know what’s going on around here. It’s been a busy week catching up and we’ve had a lot of new work flowing in.
We have done over 40 hours of audio this week and I have written 2 ebooks while my writers have been working on formatting other projects. 2010 seems bright and pretty so far. We are working on a new system, where we transcribe semi-live. We did a 12 call telesummit this week and I logged in and recorded the calls so I already had the audio and the client didn’t have to worry over sending it in. By the time the telesummit was over, we had 9 of the 12 calls transcribed. I find it to be a great use of our time and a time saver for the client as well. I’m going to try to implement this strategy from a live seminar that I am attending in February.

Hot Springs, Arkansas
Last week, I went on a mini-vacation to Hot Springs, Arkansas on my way to pick up our new Scottish Fold kitten. Here are a few highlights of our trip. Hot Springs is famous for the natural hot springs bathhouses that the mob frequented back in the early 1900′s. It was raining while we were there so we didn’t get to do a lot of sightseeing.
Hot Springs Embassy Suites and Spa
Very nice, business oriented hotel. Quiet and peaceful. Truly impressed at ALL the staff there. We didn’t come across one person that didn’t seem to be happy to be there.

Spa Botanica
Honestly, the Spa Botanica was the highlight of my trip. I had a hot stone massage, a facial and a pedicure. Not only was the spa one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen (and I used to work in a resort), Pam, Tracy and Ashley were friendly and took the experience to the next level. Great way to start out a new year. Our next vacation may be to Hot Springs just so I can go back to this spa.
Be sure to check out their Facebook Fan page for more pictures and details.
Lake Hamilton
Lake Hamilton was beautiful. Of course, it was raining so we didn’t get to spend a lot of time there. Idea for the spring though.
Now why am I mentioning all this?
2 Reasons.
There is a state-of-the-art convention center next door to the Embassy Suites. Or the Embassy Suites has some NICE meeting space as well.
The Embassy Suites Hot Springs Hotel & Spa offers more than 3,800 square feet of flexible meeting space, making it one of Arkansas’ premier event and conference centers. Facilities include an impressive 2,700-square-foot Grand Salon that divides into as many as three separate rooms, as well as a stunning executive boardroom for a more intimate meeting experience.
All meeting rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and high-speed Internet access, and an expert culinary team will create a custom menu for even the most elegant affairs. The hotel’s expert staff of meeting professionals will assist with every arrangement, making events both memorable and easy to organize.~ Embassy Suites Hot Springs Website
The hotel accommodations, meeting space available, and area would make this a really interesting location for a seminar or convention.
** Note: I have NOT been compensated for ANY of these opinions.**
Real Reason for our Trip
We drove to Arkansas to pick up our new Scottish Fold kitten from Suzanne Henne, DVM at Purrfect Folds . We figured we could have a vacation instead of putting a kitten through flying by itself. What we didn’t know was that Purrfect Folds in Plainview, Arkansas (which is in the Quachita National Forest) was on the corner of Nowhere and The Sticks. Once we were on the highway in the forest, we drove for over an hour and saw 10 cars. Now, I’m joking a little bit. It was beautiful country and looks like it would be a great place to live.
If you are just dieing to see more pictures of Princess Pudding Puff you can see them in my Facebook Album.
Have a great weekend.
